TTT for a topic in season.

So, now your brand new totaled sled has even more value in parts. You can sell your fuel-filter!!

Napamatt; "Bring work home" and save us, make a bunch of those.

How many change their fuel filter on their fuel injected atv every year ? Not much dust where I ride my sled but than again maybe poo get their filters the same place they get their drive shafts and pistons ?

I took my old one down to Napa and they built me one $11. They cut the clamp off the old connections with hack saw that go into they throttle body a.nd thel tank, put a new filter and some fuel line. Looked just like the oem .and saved me a $100, then next time all I have to do is cut the clamps off and replace the$5 filter

What 10 micron filter does Napa have for this application?

Looking for options, I priced out one from Jegs with a replaceable filter and the total (fuel line, clamps, filter, and npt fittings) cost $109 before shipping.

Wondering if I can get something at the local Napa. I don't even need a replaceable filter if the cost is right. But it seems the 10 micron filters and 3/8" fittings are harder to find/spendy.

Does anyone know the reasoning on a frequent replacement for these? Fuel filters in cars and trucks last hundreds of thousands of Kms these days....does gas somehow change in a sled?

1) The filter is small
2) We have crap E-10 gas to use for the most part... gooey, sludgey junk.
3) Water gets in the tank
4) Dirt gets in the tank from spare gas cans etc.

I'm going to be running a bigger filter here in the near future.
