Well, it looks like my the engine in my 04 REV bit the dust. At the very best, I'll need to replace 1 piston, a ring, and the head. They're checking out the bottom end right now, so I might need a new engine.

Willing to ship to Canada.

Let me know if you have anything from a low km 800HO engine to a mild mod engine that will fit.

Hey I just bought an 04 myself, how many miles did you have on it when it blew? I got just over 2000 on mine as it sits.

I can't remember exactly, over 3000miles.
The kicker is I requested the dealer to put in new rings 2 rides ago because of the milage. They said it was unnecessary since the compression checked out. It was my call, but still....

The ring locator pins never make it much past 2000miles.

A short block from Doo is $1800 I think. Unless you really hooped it bad the head should be fine. Most likely looking at a jug and 2 pistons. Thats what most guys need when they let go.

My 03 summit hmx 800HO with 2449 miles broke a piston, cylinder, cases, and 1 crank bearing got full of aluminum on march 30 08 on my first day in the big horns, REALLY SUCKED!!!
