I have one from an M7. The part numbers are different but I am not sure what the difference is. I could get it to Othello Washington around Easter if that would help.

Your tank will only work on 05 - 06 m series,there is a big indent for the different steering post the newer models use.
I tried this once....

Thanks, I wondered if there was some big difference. You can't tell from the picture in the parts book and I don't have access to an M8 to look at. Now that the thread has been hijacked, I hope tar can find his gas tank.
