Has anyone else noticed now that the State has finally released the hunting season dates for 2009 that opening weekend of rifle deer season is the same weekend as the WSSA Expo in Puyallup?

Is there any way to move the expo back one weekend? (I am sure probably not)

How huge of impact will this have on show attendance? I know that this will be the first show in as far back as I can think of where I won't be there.

No real hunter is going to pass up opening day on the 17th. We have been waiting for the seasons to be pushed back closer to winter for years.

The snow show is going to get crushed period!!

No real snowmobiler would miss the snow-show! To me, Hunting, fishing and golf are Lame compared to Sledding! :D

Bummer...

We've got a big deer hunting trip planned for this fall... :)

Gonna be a shame to miss the snow show...:(

I guess I won't have to worry about the crowds of gawkers at the snow show this year with only the dedicated sledders there :D

Yep small crowds, huge lost sales and WSSA donations.

I only got about 40 days of riding so far this year counting yesterday and 85 last year, so I guess the show is for you dedicated sledders.. LOL

This happens every year you deicated hunter complaining that the show is on some hunting trip that you have planed. OMG its in the middle of deer season I cant make it im going hunting quit whining pick one or the other and dont whine dang. Hunt one day and attend the other then there are less people out hunting to worry about shooting. I'm with winter brew the deer will still be there next weekend you just have to look a little harder.

The show as never been on opening day!! It is always the following weekend and thats a huge difference, if you don't get that you don't hunt deep in the backcountry.

It could be a good thing for us, maybe we will see a few less hunters in woods. Most of the people I ride with also hunt and they will not be driving from their camps to Puyallup. 6 out of the 8 in my deer hunting group ride and most try to go to the show and spend money, big money.

Theres no way we will be driving 8+ hours round trip to the show. If you think this is no big deal you will see. WSSA is going to lose big donations at the show, hopefully hunters will find another way to get their donations in. I know I will send in my $80 that I usually give to the parking lot guy.

It's just too bad and it's going to hurt the show big time, period!
