This place is getting down right depressing to even come to.Cant do anything without someone getting upset.

I defended the changes here at first but the more I see whats going on I think this place is going down in flames.It was fun while it lasted but everything has it ending point.

I have just stayed away from any of those debates. Everyone has their own views including myself. If I like the changes that are being made, I will stay and pay my ten bucks, if not I will just visit once in a while as a guest.

Agree. Was going to stick around, but this is getting crazy. I expect the masses will in fact leave before this gets running right. Christopher should have kept his mouth shut and done all changes @ once instead of ticking people off for over 3 months. New servers running, new features discussed, speed verified, then introduce charging.

Not sure I will even sign up to check it out.

ya, its definately not the same, but I have sold alot of stuff on here so I will stay on here and pay my dews, cheaper then ebay. at least with people having to pay then it should make saling and buying alot better since there shouldn't be any flakes. I have been in a few other sledding sites and they just seem to set ya back 6 yrs on how they work.

The underlying fundamentals of this site aren't working therefore the "changes" are being made. As is always the case in life follow the money trail for answers. If the site had a robust profit then the powers that be would never have rocked the boat this hard. Since they aren't profitable its allowing them to re-tool in a manner that suits their interests and the downside likely isn't as drastic as all of you think. Its sad to see a large group of people that have spent years enjoying each others company fragmented I agree. But business is business...

I deleted it. I don't want to offend anyone and my opinion obviously did.
Apparently some are of the opinion that the mods are suddenly "swellheaded arrogant Azzwipes"....whatever that is.
I became a mod because MAYBE I can do a small part to return this site to what it used to be. Not sure how, but the alternative is to just whine about it. Too many good people and good things that can come from this site. JMO- hope that isn't too offensive to anyone

That's the point you are missing. No sensible business person would risk a complete re-tool of a web portal if they were making money. My guess would then be there isn't a risk. Also, maybe none of you picked up on the fact that Snowest/Harris Publishing is very conservative bunch of folks. I'm sure they've bristled for years at some of the content on the very site they created. Its pretty interesting to watch actually. They are strong arming those of you that didn't alter your behavior after they asked you nicely. Looks as if their determined not let up until the site meets their objectives/expectations like it or not.

I do not spend nearly as much time on here as I used to--I watch and read more now and post less.

This is a buisness--I agree with that--but much of what they are bringing to the table--I will never use.

As far as the moderators and the crack down---well--I am a moderator on another site for fishing and we stop ALL bashing and problems between members immeaditly. But we have done this from day one. No inapropriate pictures etc allowed either. There is a big plus to this--unless you are the pot stirrer--LOL. We have a very productive site with lots of shared info and have made many freinds there as well as here. We all know that a good fisherman is a rable rowsier and tall teller--.

It seems to me that they are catching up from being a bit lax in the past.


As for the charge--I am not in for it right now with the economy( and my pocketbook) being as tight as it is. But they must do what they feel works for them as a buisness. I have seen alot of peeps come and go over the years on this site--it will survive--despite all who feel it will fall apart.

We do all miss the Fordy and Gravy posts--always good for a laugh, but generally destroyed any post they jumped on==topic OVER.


That is all I have to say about this for now.
