WOW what a bunch of greenies in Seattle!!

Yes, they're idiots as a whole. But they aren't going to do this... this year. It got shot down.

Seattle is the front for bad ideas. Gotta love 'em. They're going to start having to pay a heavy tax on shopping bags next..all of them. Bring your own?? How about shop outside the city limits, lol.

WOW!!!! That’s good to hear that they shot it down. The greenies never cease to amazes me

That just redefined my definition of greenies. The reasons why I don't go west past 405 are increasing.....

Seattle reportedly to limit concealed weapons

Mayor Greg Nickels

SEATTLE - Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels reportedly plans to announce restrictions on concealed weapons on city property, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.

The restrictions will come after a shooting at Seattle's Northwest Folklife Festival left three people wounded at the Seattle Center last month.

A news conference has been scheduled for Monday at the Seattle Police Department with Nickels, Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske and state legislators.

In a news release, the initiative was described as aimed at "making the city safer from guns."

Executive orders are directives to city departments and don't require City Council approval. They typically don't apply to the general public, but to the policies and actions of city employees, agencies and properties

If you think a bonfire adds to global warming, then guess what 10 Million acres of forest fires could do? Most of the forest fire problems are due to human mismanagement of the forests. Are they willing to fix that problem?

What scares me, is there are actually people out there that will use global warming as an excuse to enact the most insane rules. With that kind of flawed logic, you could just about outlaw anything. Wait till they find out how much heat a nuclear reactor, or coal fired power plant, or a geothermal power plant produces. Wonder how much heat a city full of asphalt absorbs, that otherwise would have been reflected into space?

Incredible.
