Odds are he went high because Craigslist buyers seem addicted to dickering on price. I have noticed when I put a fair price on Craigslist as "FIRM" I get a lot less inquiries than if I jack the price up and then put "OBO" and let someone talk me down to the price I wanted to start with. Go figure.
