sweet motor and all but just some change between it and the 800.
This Canadian is pissed about this rip-off but I would not ride a Doo anyway, seem very un-reliable. The worst part of the whole deal is that Bombardier has been sucking the tax payer's teet for years!!! All the government grants to keep the frenchies working just rubs this Albertan the wrong way.
No Canadian's in here a little pissed about that? I mean, they're MADE IN CANADA and the dollar is at par! Brutal.
Trenchmaster, it is true that Bombardier (the parent company that sold trains, planes, sleds and quads) did recieve tax $$$ at one time. However, since BRP went out on it's own, they are affiliated in no wat whatsoever to the previous company Bombardier, nor are they pulling in tax $$$ anymore. As far as the grants to keep the "frenchies" working, they have moved a lot of thier production to Mexico, so the jobs in Canada have went south, so to speak. The summit line is assembled in Mexico, so that likely explains the downturn in reliability the last few years. No, I don't own one (anymore), nor do I work for BRP. Fact of the matter is ALL of the manufacturer's retail pricing is higher in Canada - most of that has to do with import tarriffs that the feds slap on the machinery - gotta keep the PC's and Liberal's wallets fat. This is not an inexpensive sport, and those who want to play will pay - through the nose. The US market is considerably larger then then ours simply due to population, and ANY concessions or rebates will be applied there first. But as a fellow Albertan and Canadian - get your facts straight before you start making claims - makes all of us look like idiots.
