On the 146 Everest base price with 500ss is around 7800.00, E-Tech is a 1500.00 upgrade, 800r is 2150.00.

This Canadian is pissed about this rip-off but I would not ride a Doo anyway, seem very un-reliable. The worst part of the whole deal is that Bombardier has been sucking the tax payer's teet for years!!! All the government grants to keep the frenchies working just rubs this Albertan the wrong way.

If anybody looked at the picture of the 600 Summit on the website it said 600R E-Tec on the hood a couple days ago, but now its back to 600H.O.

Must not have been ready to go...

Trenchmaster, it is true that Bombardier (the parent company that sold trains, planes, sleds and quads) did recieve tax $$$ at one time. However, since BRP went out on it's own, they are affiliated in no wat whatsoever to the previous company Bombardier, nor are they pulling in tax $$$ anymore. As far as the grants to keep the "frenchies" working, they have moved a lot of thier production to Mexico, so the jobs in Canada have went south, so to speak. The summit line is assembled in Mexico, so that likely explains the downturn in reliability the last few years. No, I don't own one (anymore), nor do I work for BRP. Fact of the matter is ALL of the manufacturer's retail pricing is higher in Canada - most of that has to do with import tarriffs that the feds slap on the machinery - gotta keep the PC's and Liberal's wallets fat. This is not an inexpensive sport, and those who want to play will pay - through the nose. The US market is considerably larger then then ours simply due to population, and ANY concessions or rebates will be applied there first. But as a fellow Albertan and Canadian - get your facts straight before you start making claims - makes all of us look like idiots.

cost

Nicely stated.

Why are sledders nice to be around?
It's like seeing a couple rent a house. The more you pay the better quality of a renter. I think the same with our sport, a larger investment produces less thieves and better company to hang with.

We'll al:light:ways have to pay to play.......

Hey One Old Fart you sure don't sound like an Albertan, remember the NEP, the liberal government sucked billions of dollars out of Alberta, putting the whole country into recession. It's a proven fact that almost all of that money ended up supporting our "friends" in Quebec (the same province that is still trying to break away). The fact that Ski Doo is a quebec based company is enough for me to not want to support it. If you were born and raised in Alberta your tax dollars did go to support the manufature of Ski Doos at some point in time. Those are facts, so don't come on here and tell me what I know or don't know. If I sound like a red neck idiot, so be it, I lost my house and truck after the NEP and I'm still bitter about it.
