Would it be worth putting 1000 throttle bodies on my M8T?

Got a spare set of T-bodies sitting here from my 09 1000, and got thinking, maybe it would be worth putting them on my 800 instead of selling them?

Any thoughts? Anybody done this? Any reason NOT to if I'm going to do reeds soon anyhow?

The only reason not to is the spacing is wrong and you will need to modify the rail to get them to fit.

You will get better top end performance at a slight loss on the bottom.

Good enough reason not to for me!

Don't feel like messing with the rail, and I care more about the bottom than I do the top, there's PLENTY up top!!

They are wider but you can use your old hardware off of the 800 set that is what I did on mine buting it isn't turboed. You would also need a custom intake made for the 50mm tbs.

I've done it on 2 m8 turbo's it just gives you more air flow. You just use your m8 fuel rail no modifying. But you do have to swap out allot of parts on the two and get the TP set right. It is a little bit of work not just a swap out deal.
