wont start

I pulled up to help a buddy get out of a rut, and it never started again. changed plugs, tried several techniques to charge up the capacitor. took out the PCV. I've looked at every connector I can get to, and looked for any broken grounds.

Shes acting like not getting fuel, spark is good.

Silly question but did you give it some gas while pulling on the rope? Some times mine needs a little throttle to start when it is warm. I found this out the hard way on my first ride. Not something I thought I would have to do on a fuel injected sled...

My 09 d8 did the same thing i had to leave it over night. The next day i came back with a new voltage regulator and some other stuff, but no need it fired right up and has ran good since. The only thing i notice is it quits and wont idle in real high altitudes. I think that might have been my problem when it wouldnt start.

I recently had the same problem with my 09 D8. I usually ride in mn n it will idle around 1500-1700. I went out to togowtee n it wouldnt start without throttle n the first few min i would have to give throttle or it wouldnt run n when it would run it would idle like 1100-1200? Have no idea why? Still had great power n ran fine the whole trip just wouldnt start or idle?

Had some of the same issues with my 09 dragon 163. Then went on a ride and lost power at the end of a ride 1/2 mile from truck. Checked everything the next morning and tried to start it up wint no success. In the shop right now but i fear i may have lost a cylinder. Appeared to me like a lean burn out. should hear from shop tomorrow, will post reply asap. Hopefully its not a sign of bigger problems.

well dropped the sled off at the shop, and he calls me laughing. says all he did was drop some fuel into the cyls and bbbrrraaapppp. fuel system lost prime. he checked compression and its 120 each. so i had him gear down to a 45 bottom, while hes in there, i have a top gear tooth broken off, and a damaged chain. only 300 mi on the sled. tighten your chains on a regular guys.

brought the sled home, and oh guess what, no starty starty! so i primed the cyl again, and run she does. seems to me that it may not be a loss of prime, cause there was no stumble or roughness at all. seems like it could be the initial start sequence of the injectors maybe.

smart people, please!

my fuel pump went down about 3 weeks ago. still working but was producing only 20psi while it should be 60 psi i think.
