We need help from states with Democrat Senators! Snowmobilers need to contact them and ask them to support the provision in the House Interior Approps Sub-committee dealing with snowmobiling:
o Wolverine Research.—The Committee strongly supports the research conducted on interactions between wolverines and winter recreation use and expects the Forest Service to continue to fund robust research on this issue with resources provided under the Forest and Rangeland Research program.
· Forest Management Plans: continues a provision renewing expired forest management plans
o New Wilderness Directives-- prohibits the use of funds to implement new wilderness directives under the planning rule. These directives would greatly expand the areas to be considered wilderness and do not comply with the 1964 Wilderness Act.
SEC. 454. OVER-SNOW VEHICLE USE.—

We especially need calls sent to Senator Tester and Baucus asking them to support the provisions—lots of calls.
