Seems like the avalanche count is up this year. Many places we have turned back and not rode because of this >>>>.

19 total I believe this year so far, I don't ride out west from northern Wi , Lake Superior area.Planning a trip out west this year and learning all I can the where , how , why about avys so I don't become one of those numbers.

Really sad to see someone with all the training and immediate assistance still not make it. Condolences to family and friends.

Also, BIG eye opener for all of us this season. Treatcherous conditions out there guys and gals.... Skiing or sledding you really need to be extra careful.
