Any body ride Wolf Creek last weekend and how was it? Might be heading there this weekend.

Thanks!

Rode last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Unloaded up top all 3 days. Thursday was pretty tracked up but by Saturday there was at least 1ft of new which made conditions pretty good. Don't know the forecast but if there isn't any new snow before you go its more than likely going to be tracked up again.

Snow is setup and starting to bake out. From the top parking to Summitville is tracked up. There is a 40% chance of snow on Friday. You can still find pockets of untouched hero snow. Great snow for exploring. On the board here at the River bend Resort it shows 117" base. The snow is deep in the trees.

Setup and starting to bake out with hero snow? Didn't they get a good amount earlier in the week? Tracked up is one thing, the previous statement is a different animal.

Now to be clear, I am not calling anyone a liar and I have NOT been to wolf creek recently. But some other areas in CO, such as Grand Mesa and Rabbit Ears do not have conditions that are setup with spring time hero snow; sure they may be tracked up. And according to NOAA Wolf Creek has received a lot more snow than most other riding areas in CO.

Just left their today. There is about 8" of loose snow and a extremely hard layer under that. Since Monday it has been sunny and mid 30's on the hill. There wasn't much that the stockers in the group couldn't climb. Hey, you don't have to listen to me, go have fun getting anywhere you want.

No way, like I said I was not calling you a liar and I have not been there. It just sounded a little odd with the snowfall totals in the state and the conditions you described. But with the warm weather you described I see how that is very possible. Thank you for the update! Looks like the yooper has been getting hit hard recently! Safe travels
