Wolf Creek Guide Needed

A group of us from ND are making the trek to Wolf Creek this week. Looking for some info on reasonable guides. Need someone that can take us to no man's land. Deep cricks and good trees. Any help would be appreciated.

Does he guide for cheaper than $300-350 per day? Just wondering because that is about the cost per day for one of his riding clinics. Not saying that it's not worth it to attend one of Matt's riding clinics, but it sounds like these guys just want someone to show them around the area.

I'd go over there this weekend and show you around, but I'm stuck working this weekend.

Yup, might wanna add RIDING PARTNERS to your thread title and see if anybody nibbles. could save you some coin.

Odds are you could make friends in the parking lot and get along alright. But who knows?

My 2 cents is that weather would decide how you'd get along by yourself. My first time there I rode with Joe on a low visibility day, and doubt I could have made it back to the lot without him. Next day rode by myself with bluebird, and was holy crap this easy to get around.

I totally agree with the above post. If you're just riding at the top of the pass it is a smaller riding area and easy to find your way around. The Wolf Creek Trail Blazers Club is really good about grooming the trails out there. All you really have to do is follow the groomed track around the riding area, when you see something off trail that looks good jump off the groomed track and hit it.

There are lots of easily accessible play areas, meadows, hill climbs, trees, etc. right off the groomed track. Like Overdrive said, on a day with halfway decent visibility, it's pretty easy to find your way around.

Get a good gps like garmin montana or oregon which show all 4wd roads and I believe you can overlay a snowmobile map. I heard this is the chit. Always keep track where you are the old fashioned way just in case the gps dies.
