Snow was good. Pretty beat down but found enough good stuff in the trees to make it worth the trip. WC is getting pounded by people like RE has been in the past. Saw a pretty fair avalanche, nobody got caught. Thank God for that.

Dizzle and Treeline stopped over to say hey. Also met a pile of awesome locals that took us in to their group and hung out for a couple days. So that being said, I need them to chime in here on this thread because I cannot remember usernames to save my life.

So in Summary, it was a great weekend with good snow. No carnage and met new friends. Other than the crime, close to perfect. I had my Garmin GPS stolen off my sled while I was in the trailer changing into my gear. Pretty brazen considering my sled was next to the trailer. And then at dinner I get a call from my bank as aking if I had used my card at a Fitzsimmons Lodge for a couple hundred and bought over 600 dollars worth of men's clothing online. "Uhmmmm, no. I haven't been near a computer in 2 days." Charges stopped but I get to track the order and follow the shipping address the moron used and hopefully put someone in the clink for Christmas. And I get to buy a new gps. *mad* I had RE/Buff boundaries and wilderness boundaries entered in and that was not easy to do.

WTF. This kind of crap is unacceptable. I think someone deserves an *** beating. It's this kind of senseless behavior that prompts the Colorado state patrol to check sled registration in the parking lot. The worst part is I feel like this is being done by other Snowmobilers.....I mean that is the only people parking there. Sh*t needs to stop. On a lighter note, the riding was sweet. Except for the tow out early in the day. It was complicated by a handlebar down between 3 trees situation but all worked out. Gonna be wrenching today. Hope you guys make it down soon again. Maybe silverton by then!

Don't be too sure that address is right. They may have used someone elses address and are watching to see UPS leave a box by the door so they can nab it before home owner sees it. Might look for sled trailer near that address though...........

Somehow I have a hard time seeing PJ chase coyotes with you but I have been wrong before.

Is this the video people were making such a stink about??? The coyote was IN the trail. If the sled wanted to He could have run the coyote over easily. Looked to me like the sled gave the coyote ample time to get OFF the trail. The coyote would have run for miles in the trail had the sled just followed it. Oh well, my 02 anyway.

That's not the one that I saw. The one I saw was a KTM with a Mountainhorse or a 2-moto track setup and was chasing a coyote through aspens in deep snow. Personally, I think coyotes are a nuisance but I know that the greenies will glom onto a vid like that and it will come back to bite us in the as$ later.

I think you missed the point of why leave it posted for a year for the greenies to use against us. We lost Yellowstone and the biggest argument then was sleds were bad for animals and chased them in the winter, causing marginal animals to die. Hard to dispute that with vids like this floating around.

WHY give more ammunition to the greenies??????

I agree. It is rather difficult to "reason" with the "unreasonable".:face-icon-small-dis

Common sense went out the window a long time ago with the "enviro nazis".:face-icon-small-con

????

If you are so worried about leaving the video up for the greenies to use for ammunition, not sure why you would re-surface the one year old video in a thread that has to do with nothing about the video. Then post the link to the video in another thread that has nothing to do with it??

Why not just pm the individual instead of bringing the video back up?
