wold record jump that nobody saw?

No kidding! All that build up and they can't even show it live! Pretty impressive though, 412 ft!!

ESPN doesn't give a rats arse about sleds, hence they concentrated on the bike - a lot of their money comes from broadcasting MX racing.

It wasn't an issue with any of the cameras. ESPN wouldn't show the landing of either of the riders live in case their was a tragic wreck. If you noticed they cut out Levi's wreck from the 2010. If either one would have wrecked and it was live everyone would be uploading it to youtube.. not something that either families would have wanted to happen.

yeah i stopped the music and dancin at a new years party to draw the attention to espn and was pissed when they didnt show levi celebrating. they showed the other dude celebrating with his little one handed dirtbike ballet.

good job on both their parts. that sled was flyin when he took off.

Yes but the live view showed Robbie maddison landing, but I would have likes to see at least one of them take off from the ramp... Should have left the filing to Red Bull Media House

What was telling when watching it live here in the midwest; was the flat trajectory of the heavier sled and how the engergy kept carrying it out. The light weight of the bike had it flying higher.. but then it was like it just ran out of momentum.. and dropped like a rock.

I think the sled had more speed off the ramp than the bike. It was interesting that it seemed that both bike and sled were pinned the whole time.

i dvr'd it to fast forward thru some of the hype, the bike needed a longer run because it needed more real estate to bring up to speed. from what the commentators said, they were pinned.
btw, great camera angle from the bumper showing the speed! Regardless takes some major seeds and that Levi on jay leno seems like a real nice humble kid.

between what your saying and the sled having better aerodynamics for sure got him further.....watch right as there about to land levi gains a chit load of space between them.....badass though to say the least....i mean it wasnt very long ago that paul thacker barly broke the 300' mark

That takes some beeg balz! Especially after you have been in the back of the Lifeflight. Everyone is brave until they end up with bones sticking out of their skin. Hospitals and months of rehab will take the stones off most people. He got hurt last time because his sled crapped out on him too, no fault of his own. Must put a demon of doubt in your head. Definitely bet his life on that one.
