I have a rattling sound from my Apex and i believe something is wrong with the disc or worn.
If i grab one end and then the other side and pull them back and forth i can move one side out and the other in,
Head Bang its like it doesnt sit well on the axle, all parts are there as it shoud, only thing is the brakepads are done for and need replacing, but i shouldnt be able to move it around the axle more then out and in?

Hey Jona$

It doesnt look or sound any worse then mine. I believe that it is made to float a little so when things heat up expand or move around with the torque of the motor and side loads from the clutches nothing binds up. I could be wrong but my Nytro brake disk does the same thing. This doesnt mean that you dont have a bearing going bad somewhere. If the sled has a lot of miles on it, it might be a good idea to take apart and inspect the bearings in the drive train.

Went to the local yamahadealer and checked one with more miles then mine and was the same, even checked a brand new and it was just aslike.

So maybee need to look in another way, gonna go through the bearings when im tearing down the gearbox, since i wanna check the once holding the drive shaft.

It's supposed to float like that for proper wear and performance. This allows the rotor to centre itself when squeezed so that both pads apply even pressure
