Wish I would have got an SX kit over ST

The one and only reason I'm wondering if I made the wrong decision with the ST over SX kit is drops and jumps. I watch all my sledding pals do 15 to 20 foot drops but I'm reluctant to try thinking the ST frame might crack. I have no idea if it will or not but it seems the SX would have been a better choice. I've watched some vids now showing the SX still works pretty good for boon docking which is the majority of our riding, I do love how well my ST works for that.

Anyone have any experience with what the ST can handle for jumping? I'm no Regan Siege lol but the odd decent drop would be nice to try.

The ST can take some huge hits. Don't worry about that too much.

I would carry an extra strut rod bolt though! If you're in a bind without one, you can use one from the brake caliper to limp it out.

I saw the vid you guys put on face book, that drop off an old coal mine or whatever it was when the guy endo'd looked fairly painful lol. Did that do any major damage? I'd like to come down and ride with you guys sometime, looks like I learn a trick or two.

That was an ST kit, and it took that hit (and many others like that) fine - no damage. He was lucky to stop before those trees at the bottom of that hill! :face-icon-small-sho

The Honda's and KTM in this video are ST kits. No issues with them. The RMZ's have SX kits, but I would not hesitate to do anything that you see here on a ST.
