Wiseco piston questions

I am putting a new top end including some rebuilt cylinders on a 2008 D7 Dragon this season and I going to use some Wiseco pistons.

Are all Wiseco pistons Forged? The OE piston to cylinder clearance specs are .0045-.006. Should the Wiseco pistons be set for these specs. I have used SPI and Wiseco in the past , and am aware that you really need to be careful warming up the machine, before pinning it with forged pistons.

Wiseco has no info regarding this on their website???

Thanks

I forget the spec offhand, but there is a generality of so many thousants per inch of bore. Regardless, the pistons will come with paperwork specifying the proper clearance.

Ive seens stock pistons thata local guy swapped out, all scored up that he said have over. 06 clearance. Apparantly the stock piston issues stem from imrpoperly clearanced pistons frkm the factory.

The wiseco pistons will come with a spec sheet.i believe is. 0025-.005 or somewhere around that range. I should have mine by the end of this week so i can let you know for ure. Just be sure.not to order iq turbo dragon pistons. They are actually four stroke turbo pistons, incorrectly listed. Mine had to be sent back.

In terms of warming up, yes forged pistons definitely should be properly warmed up but stock pistons require just as good of a warm up to prevent failing anyways.

I have ross pistons in my car and they do absolutely need a good warmup you can hear the sound change when they are warm enough.
