bump w/ a twist - adding plug in to sled?

Figured I'd revive this one, since it's close enough.

I have a 03 Summit 600 (ZX chassis), and bought a helmet w/ the shield plug in. Actually 2 helmets (one for the wife for some mild 1+1 trail rides) This is my first sled and keeping the fog away / head warmer would help the cause.

No 12v port/plug stock w/ the sled, so do I buy the std 12v accessory plug or the ski-doo FACTORY SKI-DOO HEATED VISOR / HELMET KIT 861508300??
Would be nice to be able to plug in other 12v toys (phone charger, GPS, MP3, etc)

Either way, is this something I can do on my own?? - I'm a DIY guy, but not an electrician or serious mechanic.

Helmets are the new EXO-400 SE (scorpion), but i imagine this ? is the same for any heated visor helmet. Of course the helmet manual doesn't cover this.

Thanks in advance if you have any ideas.
