Wire for hooking up avenger 3?

I have 04 summit wiring harness in a 07 chassis. Could someone tell me wheres the best place to tap in for the RPM? I trying to hook up a Avenger 3.

To the right and in front of your mag cover there's some electrical stuff fastened to the bulkhead. Look for two yellow wires. Either one will work.

Yep tap into one of the 2 yellow wires....both wires off the gauge.
Tried mine out for the 1st time this weekend.
I know the digital gauges are more accurate but I was seeing 9 - 10,000 rpms when I'd 1st hit it in the pow then it'd back down to 8,000...engine sure didn't sound like it was over reving that high????
Seems to me like I might be getting false readings.

you hooked both wires from the gauge to the yellow wire? Isn't one of the wires spose to be grounded.

Hook only one wire to the yellow wire. It probably has an inline fuse.

Yes the other wire is ground. I hooked mine up to a Y-pipe bolt.

thanks, thats what I thought. Yes the positive has a inline fuse.

I guess I should have said I have a 3 wire harness. One has a fuse and the other does not and they 3rd is the ground which I just tapped into another ground wire.
