Greetings,

Does anyone have a trail map of the trails in Winter Park / Fraser area?

Thinking about riding the area but unable to find maps.

Thanks

Grand adventures grooms the trails up corona pass and now out at church park from what i understand. I think they have maps for renters, so you might check with them, not sure they give them to the public. Mostly you are on fs roads so any good map with them will work. Grand lake does have free maps for thier trail system.

Check out polaris trails app. Go to polaris site and find the link on the bottom under rider community for apps. Click on the snowtrails selection. It doesn't list individual trail names and numbers but it gives you a good idea. There was listings on the colorado sled city site I thought but I don't see winter park on there anymore.
I wish it listed trail numbers. Looks pretty sweet on the iphone. I'll see how it works this weekend.

That's what I'm looking for. I have ridden Grand Lake so many times I know it like the back of my head. I'm looking at riding different areas now. And Winter Park / Fraser is where I want to go next.

AFter that, Snowies and Grand Mesa. :) Ears next yr more then likely.

Corona is awful! The snow is super thin and Grand Adventures is grooming the crap out of the place, i can't believe how commercialized the riding area has become. I really did enjoy all the stop signs, one way trails and roped off area's to keep the rental sleds at bay, kinda felt like sledding on a ski resort actually.

I would be interested in knowing where to park for riding corona as well.

There's two spots to park, first is Lakota which is a subdivision right across the street from WP ski area at the second stop light heading west on Hwy 40. You enter Lakota and make your first right onto arrow trail, follow the road up to the denver water board road and turn left.

The second is the bottom of CR 40 just past the ski area on hwy 40, maybe 3/4 of a mile past lakota.

The locals spot is the top of CR 8 just outside Fraser.

Good luck!

That doesn't sound fun! Thanks for the warning. Is there any good riding in Winter Park area?

They are all fun, but with zero snow.... Your going to break your sled or your body. It's all super rocky

I was up there today. I went to CR50 on the west side of 40. An also went to corona. Both have good snow amounts.
It snowed last night about 3-4 inches in some areas.

Cr 50 was a better ride on the trails and more play area off the trails.
Take CR72 off hwy-40 to cr50S take a right and take a left on CR73. Go up to CR50 an follow it all the way to the trail head.
We were playing in 8 inches of powder.

Sounds pretty epic ;). Seriously most riding areas in grand county need snow. You can get out and find some good spots but we are still behind. The co rd 50 area you referenced is called church park. The wind blew hard yesterday so the trees are better wherever you are.

Looks like we will be hitting Grand Lake instead of WP. I don't care as long as I can get into some of that stuff they call snow!!

Here a good 30" behind last season at this point, and you all know how sweet last season was! :face-icon-small-sad
