"Wing Ding" Omaha NE November 21, 2009

The imfamous and orginal founder/organizer of the "Wing Ding" get togeather "Himark" asked me to set it up this year. For those of you that haven't heard of it...., sled enthusiasts from the area meet at Buffalo Wild Wings 4287 S 144th Street in Millard for wings, BEER, sled flicks on the big screen (maybe) and some good ole sled wrap/trash talking/story tellin. Start time 6 pm.

How do you do that? That's 2 years in a row that you've scheduled this the same date as the Nebraska State Snowmobilers Convention I'd like to come visit with all of you sometime, but we usually go to the convention. Or am I missing something here...like are you ANTI-convention?
Mike Duffy is giving another avalanche seminar at the convention this year...Free to people who pay to go to the convention.

Man, I am sorry! I scheduled the wing ding on a date that would work best for the majority of the usual attendies. Not a anti NSSC..., never been to it. Fill us in on what all goes on there (food, OEM Vendors, aftermarket companies, beer). Maybe I will come to that next year and we will try to schedule the wing ding on a different weekend.

State Snowmobile Convention

Every year, usually in November-December all the snowmobile clubs across the state meet at a designated location. This year it is in Grand Island. Several dealers bring sleds and products to put on display. We have educational programs (like Mike Duffy's avalance course), sometimes instructional programs for the kids, meetings to come up with ideas to promote our sport, socializing, and a dinner on the final night, with door prizes, auctions, raffles, etc. Last year, I think everyone in our group won something. You can maybe meet someone new from your area who could hook up with your group for a sled trip to the mountains. Your wing ding sounds like fun for Omahans and surrounding areas. The convention is for all the clubs for the entire state. Don't get me wrong. I would love to come to Omaha and visit with a bunch of other sledders. The Crown idea sounded good to me, too. It's just too bad these are on the same night.

We will absolutely watch out for overlap in this next year.. We were trying to find a date that works with most and just had to go with something.

From what I understand the Huskers play at 7 on the 21st. So I would imagine we are going to be limited on seats. I plan on arriving early to secure as many seat as possible. I would welcome anyone with nothing to do Sat. afternoon come give me a hand. Thanks see ya there!
