Windshield Wipers

I am tired of wipers that work like crap. Has someone found a wiper that works? Looking for something that works in snow, cold, sprayback, slush, more snow, more cold, other crap, and occassionally some rain and mud...

I personally use the rainx brand windshield wipers.. and always rainx my windows.. works great.. :D

X2...Consumer Reports ranked the basic $8 RainX wiper as good or better than all the expensive brands...I agree, I replaced the $20 Bosch blades with the RainX's and they are noticeably better.

CR also said ALL the brands deteriorated after 6 months. I replace mine at the beginning of each winter.

Partly true. I spent a few hours over the weekend "researching" wiper blades (yeah, yeah, I know how sad that sounds. Cut me some slack, I'm tired of f-ing wipers that don't work). Anyway, Consumer Reports did two tests of each wiper. One test at the time of install, and one six months later. The top cleaning blade at the time of install was the Valeo (600 series I think?). The Rain-X Latitude Blades were second place, based at least in part on the fact that they were the ONLY blades tested that retained any decent clearing ability after 6 months. Third and fourth were Anco and Michelin, respectively.

I ended up buying the Rain-X Latitudes. We'll see if they are worth the $20 a piece that I paid.

You can see the actual Consumer Reports article here, at least until CR's lawyers catch wind of it...

I have had great luck with Trico NeoForm Wiper blades. They are about $20 a piece but they work great, never freeze up and have lasted me a year. They were doing a mail rebate of $20 if you bought two pair a while back.

One thing that kills wiper blades is by leaving the vehicle outside. If you have a garage use it. It is easier on all the rubber, plastic and paint on your cars.

bought a pair of some silicone base ones this year. I'll get the name tonight. claim to have a lifetime warranty. says if they wear out or start streaking you pay shipping for a new pair. We'll see how they are come spring. Been good so far.

another vote for these. put thme on my 01 impala and love them.:D:D
