I use my Chevrolet Silverado 3500 to tow/haul my 2003 Yamaha SX Viper, my boat and RV. What brand of winch can you recommend for it? I am currently checking out Warn winches on 4wheelonline.

I assume you mean for the front of the truck?
I had a Warn 9000 for my Bronco which I figured I may never use so I used a hidden mount and installed it behind the bumper.
(I hate iphone photo rotations!)

i got an m12000. wanted the 15000 but found a deal on the 12000 used. if its not enough i'll use a snatch block.
Usually 1.5 times the weight of the vehicle. Probably a 12-15K winch.
