Winch Powered Sled Deck??

Lots of sled deck threads on here, but I can't seem to find info or anyone mentioning the style I'm looking for through the search. I saw a guy several years ago with a sled deck that was powered by a winch. Didn't pay much attention to it then, unfortunately I'm interested now as I remember he said he built it himself after seeing it from a manufacturer made one and may take a crack at it myself or modify mine if its possible.

The winch powered the deck back and then down with a pulley system so it ended up sitting at maybe a 25 degree angle. Then he hooked the cable in another pulley and then reversed the winch and deck with sleds loaded, back up.

Anyone ever see anything like this or have something similar? Would like to see pics if you do. Thanks.

Yep, I have one. Love it.

Just don't stand behind it, when lowering or lifting. The sled will run you over.

Yep, Me too!!

My deck uses a winch with garage door springs. When you use the winch to pull up the sled deck it puts tension on the springs, so the when you go to off load the sleds put the winch in reverse and the springs pull it off the back of the pickup. You do not have to switch anything with mine , just push the button the other way. Mine slides back off the truck and then goes to about a 25 degree angle off the back of the truck. I have to put a ramp on the back of the deck to the ground because the truck is to tall!! Works slick!! I might be willing to sell however I'm thinking about a new T.O.P. hydralic deck that goes all the way to the ground. If your interested give me a call!! or PM me!! :D

Thanx
