Will rails/skid from a 3" RMK fit on a 2.6 RMK?

Dumb question... I destroyed my rails on my '17 RMK Pro 155". It has the 2.6 track w/ Quickdrive.

I found a full skid (minus shocks) for a RMK Pro 155", except it came out of a 3" setup (w/ chaincase).

Will this bolt up to my sled, or is the pitch on the rails different from the 2.6 to the 3"?

Rails and suspension are the same just a different track. The 3" track is 3" pitch and 2.6" is 2.86 pitch. That would require different drivers if using the track.

Don't think so.

There is no such thing as a 155, just Polaris marketing to beat Ski-doo.
It's 154 and 156.

Try it and let everyone know.

You can go the other way and use an offset axle and larger wheels.....

Correct. Rails are different. Different part numbers, different length track.

155-163 Rail part numbers L/R

155x2.86”
1543448
1543449
155x3”
1543529
1543530

163x2.86”
1543452
1543453
163x3”
1543534
1543535
I know of one gent that installed a 3.0 pitch 162 X3 on his 2.86 pitch rails and it was to tight.

My brother is using 2.86 rails on his 3.0 chaincase assault. Works fine.

I was told that there is only a half inch difference between the two pitches.

If i remember right on my 2.6 sled the track adjustment was pretty far forward, i dont know that a rail that was even an inch longer would have worked

Yes, putting in shorter rails works.
Longer rails may not fit?
I know a 153 track bolts right up to a 154 skid. Absolutely will not fit on a 156.
The 154 might fit the 156?
But it will be super tight.

the 15x length sleds share the same length rail as far as I was aware. the 162's are 100 % different and you will run into pensioning issues swapping on the stockers.

155 2.6 is actually 154.44"
155 3in is a nice round 156

3 inches use slightly larger drivers, so they are pretty much dead even for adjustment on the rail.

163 2.6 is 163.02
163 3in is exactly 162 plus the larger drivers.
This makes the split a bit bigger. Hence the different rails.

The only issues I have heard of with the 15x is one person that went to a 153 Powerclaw from a 155 3”. He had to get custom Ice Age rails.

It should interchange.

I have IceAge 155 rails on my axys. 156" camso X3. I am dead center of the adjuster, there is no way you could run a 153" on it.

Also, worth noting, from what TRS and others found is that the OEM drivers were not sized the same overall diameter as say avids. For the same size and pitch the avids were larger diameter. so not that it eats up much, but when you start talking 1/8" of adjustmant for clearane, that does eat more up as well.
