Will anodizing repel snow like powdercoating?

I might have the opportunity to get some pieces anodized and was wondering how this compares to powdercoat. Is it durable? I was thinking of doing my snow eliminators and some other parts. Thanks in advance.

There are many opinions, here's mine, Hard-Coat type 3 anodizing will actually repel snow better... Hardcoat is only avail in a grey/black color though... SUPER tough..

Colored decretive anodizing is not at all durable, it scratches easily... sucks at snow/ice buildup avoidance.

Anodizing adds almost zero weight to the part ... nor does it add thickness.

Anodizing only works on Aluminum or Titanium parts.

Description of Type 3 ano.

Surface hardness....

....aproaching that of diamonds, interesting. Would that create a problem? would the aluminumn lose its flexability? Also how big a piece could one do like a tunnel ? that seems like it would fetch quite a heafty price, interesting though.

I have had an anodized tunnel for years. Tough & the snow doesn't stick. Looks great in the grey as the rest of my sled is black...

Pic? Im trying to decide if I want to powder coat or just paint/airbrush my tunnel. If this looks good and the price isn't crazy maybe its another option.

Thanks,
Nolan
