Will a skins seat fit my impulse nytro ?

Does anyone make as small lightweight seat that will fit over the impulse fuel cell ?

I asked same question last year and was told no.
I think with some mild mods it would.
I didnt wana spend the money, then not like what I would have to do to make it fit.

Same here! I freaking hate hate hate the impulse assault seat! It's like having a freaking ford focus under your a$$! Huge! I gotta make something up soon. I love the skin seat on my buddies apex! Plus it looks great.

It would take major mods to make the skinz seat fit. The frame of the skinz seat bends down right to the bottom of the stock tank. Where the seat flares out around the tank, that flare is round bar that is part of the frame. The seat foam also goes all the way down close to the tunnel at the stock tank. It would take so much modification you would be better off just starting from scratch.

MotleyOne Customs was making them for a while, thats what I have on my sled! I love it!

MotleyOne Customs seat is nice but basically a stock steat with more padding added. I think we are all looking for a very small seat simmilar to the low skinz seat that would sit on top of the fuel tank and have a solid attachment. Just to make it easier to jump side to side on the impulse turbo. X2 the impulse assault seat by wasetch rec seat is massive!!!!

That's exactly what I'm looking for! So tired of the bulky massive assault seat.

Im running a gutted stock seat for now.
Gonna take my Impulse Seat in and get it cut down and recovered.
I like how it fits over the gas cap and wires.
Has anyone elese done this?

Make sure you post pics! I'm to chicken to cut into a perfectly good seat. Maybe if I had some direction. Do you plan on leaving the trunk/gas cover. Or making the top shorter as well?

I got rid of the frame and modified everything to fit. This is it.

Make sure you post pics! I'm to chicken to cut into a perfectly good seat. Maybe if I had some direction. Do you plan on leaving the trunk/gas cover. Or making the top shorter as well?

I want to keep the trunk/gas cover.
