Will a series 4 144" fit on a '10 assault 146"?

Looking to replace the stiff competition track on my 2010 assault. I found a series 4 144" track for sale cheap. Will it fit on my sled? Will it fit with my rails? does it work with my drivers? I know I will lose a few pounds as well as gain better performance in the powder. I was hoping for a 5.1 series but may have to jump on it if the price is good

Different pitch on the drivers, answer is no.

Your 146x2.86 can be replaced with that new to you 144x2.54, you will need a new drive shaft with the 2.54 drivers or have new driver pushed onto your existing drive shaft.

Series IV is actually a 2.52. If you change the track you will also lose the ability to loosen your track too. I have seen it done but I don't advise it.

i must ask...what is driver pitch? is it the teeth on the inside part of the track that connect to the drive cog?

I don't remember exactly but it's the distance in inches between the drive lugs

thanks guys. Seems like more trouble then its worth. Guess ill keep an eye out for something else. Id rather gain a few inches of track length rather then lose a few anyday.

Find yourself a 146 x 2.4 Series 5.1 track and just bolt it in.
