will a ho 800 crank work in a 07 800r

now i am not an expert on this one but from what i have heard the 07's had bad cases causing the crank bearings to fail. You have to get the cases machined properly to prevent this crank issue occurring again. Also i am almost 100% sure you can't use a 800ho crank in 800r cases.

No, the 800R motor is a whole different animal. You can just get the crank, your dealer knows better! The 06 and previous are the HO's. Yes the 06 is a PTek, but it's still the series III HO motor. Cranks are different.

He can get you a rebuilt crank - all new rods and new bearings, trued, greased and ready to drop in for a darn good price. Now if your 07 cases have not been updated (line bored) I highly recommend you have BJ take care of that as well.

the crank and bearings are fine just the taper shaft is cracking you know the part the clutch mounts to

Call big john...He has the taper shaft you need, which I doo not believe BRP even offers

you are right they do not sell it you have to buy a whole new short block witch seems like a waste of money to me i will be calling big john Monday.
