Will a 156" track fit under a 151 Rev chassis?

Ski-doo seems to have a little more tunnel than actually needed to cover the track, so I'm wondering if the 151 Rev tunnel is long enough to squeeze in a 156?? Maybe with a short flap. I realize the snow won't be thrown directly at the cooler, but if I measure correctly, it should fit.
Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks.

156 or 159 with big wheels

Maybe a better way is use a 16 wide 159 with 9" wheels and it will be close to the length of a 156 with 7" wheels. More benefits all the way around (that's if it fits).

I have a 156 under my 151 chassis. Pulled the skid back 1" and used 8" rear idlers. No problems for two years.

16 wide it is and I'm going for the 159 on 9" wheels

No doubt it will be tight, but I can always extend the tunnel if it just don't work. It'll be a few weeks before I can tackle it, but I'll post a few photos when it's done.
Thanks for all the suggestions, very helpful.

Just so you know you'll need a tunnel ext.
Guys with the 156 even went with ext. because on full compression they'd hit the snowflap mount.
You can get one from ski doo for like $55 or VE for $100+ but looks better.
Are you running 2" lugs right now?
If you bump up to 2.3" you'll need to change your drivers.
I think I might go to the new 154 with a 2.86 pitch, with drop down brackets it should fit a 151 just fine.

i just did this last night. swiched from a 151x16x2 to a camo extreme 2.5. i used avid's offset axle with 8'' wheels and moved the skid back 1'' along with avids drivers to make room. i think i'll need to hold my snowflap out a bit so it will clear but that shouldn't be a problem.

i might have had enought tension without moving the skid back, if that was the case there would be enough room.

B.A.M.F, the reason I did mine was not for the extra 2.5 inches on the ground but rather the taller lug. I haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet but the people who i've talked to said it was like riding a totally different sled. guess we'll find out?? hope they're right cause it's not exactly cheap to do!

This was my goal to start with, but tracks are on back order from TracksUSA and Ski-doo. That's why I'd like to get by without an extension, just in case I doo that later.

159 X track on 06 151 adreneline

I have the 06 x 159 on my 06 151 sled. Its been on it since the day it was new.(2220miles) have SLp extentions, no setback stock idlers. We just drilled out the rivets on the back of the tunnel and kicked the flap back a little and redrilled and riveted it back cant tell it from stock unless its sitting next to a stock sled.

That's what I wanted to hear.

I'm happy to here that, with all my measuring it seemed like it would fit, but I've made mistakes before and had to kick myself for not calculating correctly.
Thanks for your info.
