Will a 146 fit a Nytro

Just wondering if anyone has tried to make a 146x15x2.5 CE fit into a nytro XTX, with a 144 skid. I was just sitting in the garage and thinking, if I changed to smaller drivers for clearence on the cooler and put a big wheel kit on the back to take up the slack it just might work.

Any thoughts?

how many tooth drives are in an xtx? 7 tooth in the mtx and the 2.5 fits good. i would think big wheels and shes done!

The XTX has 9 tooth drivers, so if I dropped to the 7 tooth drivers like the MTX and 9" rear wheels it should work. So I guess that means there is lots of clearance for the 2.5 track in the XTX tunnel.

Would the 2.5" really make that much difference over the 2" in the mountains, or would I be better off going with a 144x16?

with the 16w you have to trim some rivets and bolts and run cr drop brackets. its not hard but you have to do some r&d to make sure a bolt or rivet doesnt tear up your track. i think roughrider is right though smaller drives offset the big wheels. in my opinion i would stick with the 2" it works good

I thought the 146 has a different pitch, that would require different drivers.
