Will 99x Front hpg work on 01summit

I need advice from someone. I need a shock. There is somebody on here with 99 Summit X shocks for a good price. Will they work on my 01 summit 800? Thanks

They will be too short. ZX chassis uses a much longer shock, and has different mounts to accomodate. They WILL physically bolt in, but your sled will sit much lower.

I used ZX shocks on my own 670, and had to widen the front end to make up for the length.

The 99 shocks would work only if they came from a 99 Summit 600. I've done the exact same swap before in a pinch.

There is a pair of 01' HPG MXZ shocks on Ebay now, I think the MXZ's were different but still fit, maybe longer? It was under ski-doo zx.
