Hi
I got a RMK D707 and want to get it more "pumped" before next season, but whicth shocks are you guys running? I want to get the nose up more and need more rebound than the Walker Evan's can deliver. (BTW I'm 6'6" and 242lbs without gear)
I'm going to ordrer the rear springs (7041942+3-067) to get rid of the sag.
So...any tips?

On the front shocks I would consider ZBros EXIT X0's or Walker Evans Needles. I have the Exits and they are great.

As for the rear torsion springs, here is a post from the Big Boy Spring thread. These springs for a big guy work the best.

Curt Really knows his stuff on the Polaris skid setups... probably better than anyone out there that I know.

I'd follow his lead without hesitation on this.

Part numbers
7042079-067 Spring, Torsion, LH, STD [.375/47 °]
7042080-067 Spring, Torsion, RH, STD [.375/47 °]

The spring will also have more effect at the beginning of travel which helps eliminate the dead spot all these skids have-this unsprung/undampened area of travel is a big reason why the IQ was a bit on the wild side with weight transfer-to much scissor collapse right off the bat.
These are our go to springs for any one over 220#(which I'm one of by the way!) I have a full season on them in my turbo 163 and they are still on the soft setting-haven't had to add any more pre load since installation which indicates that they are not "sacking out".

gerrman, I do agree, the stock WE's arent that great, I got the fox float evol x's and couldnt be happier. I weigh around 240 geared up. When I first got them I had them to stiff, then I had them to soft, then I saw a post somewhere on here that Chris at Carls said to pump the main chamber to 60 psi with the sway bar and 65 psi without the sway bar. I run mine at 65 psi without the sway bar and that is perfect for me.I run the evol chamber at 160 psi and have the rebound clicker set at 16 clicks to the right (clockwise) to give more of that float feel. I havent messed with teh highspeed and lowspeed clickers yet, there still set in the middle. These are way better than teh WE's, if you want to go ZBros then that would be a good way to go also, Ive heard nothing but good things about them to. I jsut ordered the Alpha X rear suspension also, its better shock wise and in its suspension geometry. Personally, the shock setup on the Dragons front and rear just arent that good.
Just my .02

needles

Anyone try the walker needles? They seem reasonably priced, but I know you get what you pay for sometimes.

Zbros!

After you install the fatboy springs(I have them) they hold the back end up very well...you may have more ski pressure than you want. I had to loosen the limiter strap. Those springs make a huge difference..all season and no sag.
