why would my tachometer only work sometimes

why would my tachometer only work sometimes?

it said scale on it, and I looked up online that it could have a stuck button that didn't help me any.

It seems to start working about 1hr into the day and even after that its 50/50 on if it works? any idea's?

If the headlight etc...are also not working it could be the relay...that is most common.

they work fine. just the tach, funny deal it 50/50 when it works when it doesn't

That happened on my rev once, the rubber button on the gauge was cockeyed in the hole. Straightened it out & the scale went away.
