Unfortunately there isn't many people that are hard working Americans anymore. People live off welfare, live off of us hard working Americans, no one wants to take the hard road..it is always "how easy can I get to the top" and that usually involves lying and cheating to get there. The letter is a little condescending to some employees, but some deserve it.

I'm sure the letter was written anonymously by a business owner, that was tired of the attitude within his office, and some comments he probably got from some. It's obvious he has a lot of pent up frustration towards the current "political feelings" prevalent in Washington. Sounds like a man that feels he's poured his life into his business, and created opportunities for people, and gets no respect for it.

Personally, I work a lot of hours, and pour myself into my projects. You look around and see lots of people just watching the clock all day long. I get a call from home, asking me if I know what time it is. That's when I realize everyone's gone??????

I put myself through braces, college, bought my own car, bought my own property and put a small manufactured home on it as a single gal by 30ish years old because I didn't spend on stuff. I lived simply, sacrificed a lot, just like the man said. Currently my hub and I have no debt, own our current manufactured home and property and our used cars. We don't buy more than we can pay off on the credit card every month. So like Slut said, I don't care if it's a real letter either, it's true.

My husband is a manager in a company. He's been there over 20 years and he complains all the time about slackers at work, spending a lot of their days talking and goofing off, signing out early, coming in late and how he's the "bad guy" when he tells them to get to work. I said maybe he should explain how lack of efficiency means the work doesn't get done, the clients aren't happy and the employees get fired for someone who will work like Wade.

They did fire one gal and she's been seen around town really happy and up-beat (she was a bummer at work). We figure she's now making a nice living on Unemployment, so why get a job and have to work?

Then there's the "boss-napping" in France.

I agree totally . As a small business owner I understand completely . Taxes go up , people lose their jobs it's just a fact .Survival of the company is first priority . I've already cut jobs at my shop , and will cut more as more taxes are levied against my business . I'll just do more of the work myself . Multiply that times every small business in the country and you will have a lot of jobs lost .

With summer coming up Obama is going to take his next step and make 12 million new democratic voters...well legal voters this time. Amnesty for the illegals with further split this country and what jobs there are will be fought over. This mess is going to get nasty.

No kudos to the lazy worker watching the clock!

I don't mean to piss off you small business owners...I completely respect the hard working ones that don't over extend themselves and have good values.

However, there are the opposite type out there too.

I was just thinking about this on my drive to breed my lab. I see numerous small business owners flocking into the welfare office. They have million dollar homes, Escalades, etc. They have been foolish with their money and now the taxpayer has to bail them out for their BS choices. They should have packed away there peanuts instead of keeping up with the Jones. Now they can't afford to buy food for their family because they have a 30 foot boat, ATV's, sleds, motorhome, and way too much home, etc....that wont sell right now.

Even when times were good many small business owners (very well off) have finagled their business taxes so they could get Medicaid for their family instead of having to pay for insurance out of pocket.

I have a REAL problem with these types of small business owners!

It isn't just the lazy worker, watching the clock that is so bad when you realize
that almost 50 percent of the people in the US don't pay ANY taxes. I will also bet it isn't because they are wealthy and don't have to work. Guess who pays for the big part of their incomes. The really BAD part is these are the people, Dumbo wants to "bail out" to jump start the economy. How in hell are these people going to make jobs? You gotta be ****tin me. That is as bad as saying only the government can fix the economy and make jobs. Robin Hood was a great story but the result here will be EVERY BODY WILL BE POOR. PRETTY QUICKLY TOO BECAUSE HE IS GETTING RIGHT AT IT.

many of the voters that loved obama were poor minorities that will claim to never have a chance to be a business owner. truth be told, most all business owners who start a business are, regardless of race, poor and face sacrifices unknown to most people. the logic in the letter above will not seem true to many folks, as they have no grasp of what the heck is going on or what it takes to run a legit business. selling crack on the corner does not require you to 1099 your pushers......ya know.

I am scratching and clawing to build a business here on my own. I have chosen to have no overhead and have been tooling up for a long time. I have next to no debt and it feels awesome.....especially given the state of the nation. I still work a normal job, and put in a ton of hours at that, but soon I think I can make a go of it in my own shop on my own tools that I built with my hands and, sweat and cash. I don't mind paying taxes, as I enjoy knowing my house will have a fireman show up if it catches fire, and paved roads are nice.........but this bailout chit gets my blood boiling!!! that is my money they are giving away to people whos job it was to be good with money in the first place
