A buddy rented a sled in Cooke last month.....thought he totaled the front end of the sled on this....

here is the same hit from his helmut cam...

he got lucky when he pulled it over on its side at the last second and the bottom of the skiis hit up against the tree right at the spindle...did not hurt a thing..:face-icon-small-sho if you notice after he hit his helmut cam came off the top of his helmut and flew into the snow...took us awhile to find it..

Come on man thats the least you have to worry about. thanks for the footage though funny stuff...

That was funny, but I fail to realize why it would stop me from buying a rental sled.

Not knocking him, but I always get nervous when I see the hand go for the default mountain bar grab, especially on a Pro. I have seen quite a few sidehills go wrong with that move.

My '09 700 RMK was a rental. It had 3990 or so miles on it when I bought it from the dealership and now has 4500+. I also bought a 1 year ext. warranty to go with it, which I have used as I have a new drive cltuch and had some welding/drilling done on the skid rails. I'm currently having some antifreeze seeping but not enough to get worried about. The dealer has agreed that when I pull the engine out this summer for a rebuild and check out the front tunnel cooler if anything is found that's causing the leak/seep, the warranty will cover the parts and reimburse me the labor associated with completeing that job.

The only statement better than "ride it like you stole it!" is "ride it like a rental!".:brick:

I really did not mean to bash rental sleds....they are good deals in fact like I said there was no damage done here. This was first thing in the morning and he "rode it like a rental" all day and had no problems. In fact it convinced him to snocheck a new one and he has always rode ski doos. It was just the joke between us at the time it happened about you never know what happenes to rental sleds..

Really?? What did he do now? Watched his ghost ride in Lincoln last year at the sno b que....

Oh that was a good one.
He petered out up in the big rocks at the Lake Bowl and it ghosted down to the lake...right through the narrow part and missed all the rocks. Untouched and unharmed.

Nothing. Sled hasn't hit anything or been ghost riding this year. Broke the chaincase around the lower bearing. Chain did not seem loose or stretched, but three teeth were broken on the top sprocket, so who knows. Should be back together this weekend if everything goes right. Getting a camo extreme and belt drive since it is tore apart.

Spud is just getting tired of being beat up by Skidoo's :)

See you on the 9th.

We will be there the 9th. I assume you fixed yours from a couple weeks ago?

Back together. Powerjet was plugged. 1330 on the EGT after letting off the throttle. Don't know what she peaked at, but I couldn't let Cody give me a hard time if I turned out. Going to see if Rob will meet us at the parking lot. See if he can launch off the rock again.

Might be bringing a girl on a cat that will highmark ol' Spud.

I'd be more worried about buying a rental due to the fuel and oil that is ran through the motor then whether or not it bounced off a few tree's.

Thanks for the vid, typical "spors":face-icon-small-win
