I was wondering why they phased out the 700 this up comeing year. Were there just not enuf interest in the 700 or is the economy to bad for them to have all the sleds ?

Because the manufactures dont want to make a reliable sled over 600cc. All the manufactures have had near bullet proof 700's in the past, but seem to always produce ticking time bomb 800's.

Amen.

what really sucks is that for a bigger guy me the 700 was just about perfect. The 600 is a little under powered for me in the ditches and in the powder and the 800 is really a over kill for the ditches and rideing the black hills.

Polaris stopped because the 600 and 800 are based on the same monoblock where the 700 used two jugs. Assembly line rules tell you to make everything the same (just ask GM).

Not enough sales on the 700. It's a great machine (I have one), but all this talk about keeping it and nobody is in line to get them (compared to the 800's).
