If republicans are supposed to be for a smaller, more efficient government, then why are they so good at running up the national debt? Reagan(sp) did it too.

Maybe it's because Republicans are politicians too.
Politician - 1. A lying sack of feces. 2. The type of person that only cares about their personal wealth, and getting re-elected so they may continue to grow their personal wealth. (see: speaking engagements, book deals, special interest kick backs, and lobbying) 3. Someone who will tell you what the crowd they are facing wants to hear. 4. A person that can not make good decisions or act responsibly on their own, yet thinks they can make decisions for everyone else. 5. Someone with an agenda. 6. Generally suffering from low self esteem; and willing to go through hell to obtain a position or power, that will magnify their insignificant sexual prowess. 7. A incremental decimator of personal freedom and liberty, in the pursuit of control and domination. Characteristics: Always willing to spend someone else's money.

Because they are also about a strong military, the Dem's tend to tear it down to make it look like they are saving $$, then the Rep's have to spend billions to rebuild it, leaving the next pres (likely a Dem) with a strong military and they can then spend our $$ on other programs and look like the hero.
So we can justify everything else to continue to build a strong military?

I am far from politically involved.............but
I REMEMBER SEEING THOUSANDS OF FOLKS KILLED IN THE TRADE CENTERS. I don't care if you were any political party, that REQUIRES an azz whoopin. I understand that the war efforts have been less than the most efficient, but I also know that no freak terrorist events have unfolded.
I sit here with 5 cars and several toys in my garage, food in my freezer, and a new flatscreen tv on my wall.....I, as an american live a very safe life. if I lived in many other countries I would have been killed just for my spare food alone.
I personally have no problems paying taxes........now the BS fuel prices........I think it's about time for a mutany.
