Why Do Turbo's Smoke Less?

Dumb Question eh? Well my brother in law got a 2010 M8 with a boondocker turbo and that thing just doesn't smoke like the stock sleds do - WHY? Fill us newbie's in.....

Just a guess, but minedoes smoke, but mostly on start up.

With turbo, you have to have a fuel control box, and gauges to tune, looking a spark plugs to properly tune. Good tuning will probably have it leaned out a bit from stock. With a stock sled you are at the mercy of the factory calibrations, and with the variablity from engine to engine, they are probably tuned to be a lttle fatter.

I'm sure someone that really knows will chime in.LOL

I think snowmanx is right. A turbo will likely be tuned closer to optimal than an average sled.

The other factor that I think of is that the oil doesn't turn up as much as the fuel does, so a turbo runs leaner than an N/A sled (aside from Twisted's setup from what I can tell) but this wouldn't likely affect the noticeable smoke that you see.
