Why cant Chris just leave sh!t alone?

Hey Guys.
Let me try to explain whats happening here.
Quite a few of our members have commented on the WIDTH of the forums.
The SnoWest Forum required 1,440 pixels minimum width to ensure you did not have to Scroll left or right to read a post.
Yesterday I sat down and looked at every way I could find to NARROW the forums back to ensure they would fit on as many different displays as possible.
By removing the Level 2 and Level 3 Forum Tree display I was able to narrow down the over all forum a bit. Harris Publishing has also agreed to move their sidebar ads around in a way that will help us narrow it even more.
Sometime next week I hope to see the ad change take place. Once thats done, I will measure out the final width and turn the Level 2 forums tree back on and COMPARE sizes.
If we can keep the forums below 1,280 then I would be happy to leave the extra menu structure turned ON as I agree, it makes it FASTER and EASIER to quickly navigate the site.
But I suspect saving the 1 mouse click is far less important to everyone who can't display above 1,280 pixels who is forced to scroll the entire page left and right to read content.
