Who's running the Cutler adjustable weights?

I'm looking into trying the Cutler adjustable clutch weights on my stock 09 M1000 (other than geared down to 55/65). I'm still running the stock 80 gram weights so I wondering which set to purchase from Cutler. Should I go with the 75g-85g since its a medium of what I have right now? Or should go with the 80g-90g so I can work my way up? Thanks
 
one long threaded hole, and a 3/8" hole in the tips. You use blue lock tight to hold your first set screw in place at tyhe depth you want and after that, you just jam them together to get the total weight you want. I'm sold on them.
 
I went with the 80 to 90 that way you can add pipe and other stuff later you already know the 80g cat weight works if you add horsepower you will want to add more weight
 
I'm going to try a set eventually. The 2010 crossfires call for 67 gram weights for 0-3000 and as low as 58 for 9000 plus. Don't know what the hell i'm going to do
 
load the weight in the heel of the weight closest to the pin you can load them from either end i have a brand new set that im getting rid of 75-85 shipped in the us i put weight in them but never installed them the cats for some reason like the weight in the rear pm me if interested
 
What weight range should I use in a '09 HCR? I'm leaving the clutch pretty well stock other than the shift assist and rock rollers. I ride around 1000' most of the time, but do occasionally go west to 9000'.
 
With the cutler weights you want to run them toward the low end of their range on a cat imo. If you buy a 70-80, you'd have a bunch of weight through the whole cam arm, which makes the tip heavy, It seems like if you heel load them, keeping the tip light they work better.

I would start high, also you'll use a little more cutler weight than cat light tip weight. (80 cat = 81.5 cutler or something like that) so you could start with a 80-90 & still have downward adjustability if you need it.

i dont know anyone running over 83 g even with pipe or anything else except maybe a turbo i guess it depends on elevation is anyone running more than 83g on an m1000
 
i just noticed that your geared down that changes everything i would like to change my last statement i would imagine your going to be up there around 85g if i had to guess

That would depend on elevation, we were running 80's in a sled with Y & intake only @ 11k+ last year.

On my 1000 I run 78.5 I believe & spin 7300 at 12,500 (stock CF gears). With pipe you'd go down a bit to hit higher Rpm. If he's already running 80 though, all I was saying was that the cutlers would be like running 78.5 as it is.
 
I just bought a set of 75-85's and it looks like the screw stops 3/4 of the way through the weight if loaded from the heel.. Do I want the screw bottomed out (3/4 of the way through) or just keep the weight towards the heel as much as possible?
