Who's going to buy Klim gear this year?

That was my point in my long winded rant earlier. I guess I don't like it when someone says I am full of BS. I don't think it is a wild coincidence that some peoples gloves have failed after very few rides. I think the best thing they can do is identify the problem and correct it, or at least make it right for the time being. Or maybe skibreeze and I are just so extreme our gloves can't take the Chuck Norris like grip we exert on our sleds.:D

Wow, thanks for all the responses. I'm about 50/50 on my Klim stuff. My bibs are holding up quite well after 3 big seasons. My gloves were trash after 3 weeks(not warranteed). My Moab pants are splitting at a couple of the seams but I have a small muffler burn so I won't even try to send them in. My Dakars still look good after several hard falls.
Looking to get a new jacket this year and I'm on the fence as to what to buy.
Thanks for all the input.

someday I may buy KLIM, but with the new brands coming out we'll see when the time comes to pay out cash.

It's hard for me to justify 300 for bibs when I have Gore-tex bibs I got at Cabelas for 120 4 years ago and they are still doing great.

That's because you never ride the real mountains! ;)

I'm not buying... because of the price. I just can't justify it. I have had very good luck even with Cabella's brand stuff that keeps me warm and dry at 1/2 the price.

klim

I love all my klim stuff! Trying to get all my riding buds to buy some klim clouthing also. getting tired of hearing them complain about there cheap stuff!!!

2 seasons with Castle gear then I switched to Klim and will never go back. Switch pants were like a sponge and the coat also. I bet I weighed an extra 20lbs at the end of the day and the stuff never dried out over night so I started the next day already wet..... screw that! If you can afford it get it you won't regret it! Proud poster boy here also but my butt is dry when I get back to the trailer!

Klim is practical, comfortable, & extremely durable! I have tried other brands, but always end up back wearing my Klim for Dirt & Snow. I have found it to be the most reliable outdoor wear in any condition.

I have all klim gear and love it. I had torn my bibs 2 seasons ago and sent them in for repair and they sent back new bibs instead. I call that great customer service! And the turn around time was less than two weeks from the time I shipped them out till I received them back. I agree with the other people who say you get what you pay. Another brand I swear by is Mountain Hardware. I bought a $500 jacket from them back in 1997 and it still looks almost new. I had 4 to 5 seasons of snowmobiling and other winter activities on that jacket as well. It is my favorite jacket and I didn't want to damage it so I bought a klim jacket to use for snowmobiling. As for the gloves I have had great luck with them so far. The only thing I have noticed is I had to get something like XXXL large to fit properly and I normally wear XL gloves. The XL gloves didn't have enough length in the fingers to keep them from touch the end of the gloves. And I don't have long fingers by any means. So maybe people are not buying the correct glove size and that could be causing the issues of wearing out after 3 to 6 rides. I have done that before and the gloves have ripped out after a couple rides.

I'm out! After buying nearly everything in the winter lineup, i'm done.
they got my $$, and now as the stuff is start falling apart i'm done. As many know, i've sent in several items in this year and none of which were repaired or replaced. Just a couple years ago, they would make it right but not anymore.

the powercross gloves are a joke, i was stupid enough to by 2 pairs to get me thru the season. When you ride 4-5 days a week all season, your gear must last and work as hard as you do! If your a weekend warrior, then klim will probably last a couple seasons and forever if you don't leave the trail, LOL....

My next jacket will be a slednecks or a mtn hardware. Klim is not worth the inflated price anymore....since its sown by children in China.....who cares if it falls apart.....

Steamboat-RN, we've seen ya ride...a new jacket isn't going to help that!
 Maybe should save up some training wheels, instead.

have two sets of Klim gear, there boots, 4 pairs of gloves there backpack. all awsome stuff. still not fond of there helmet though

also use there dirtbike gear in the summer

I wear their boots and jacket even when I'm not riding. I've had stuff wear out but never had the nerve to ask that they replace something that kept me warm and dry for 100 rides. Took a lot of crap for the helmet, I wouldn't say it's better than anything else but I paid so much for it I'm wearing it forever. I think Klim supports our sport more than most and I'm willing to pay for that because if we don't have places to ride, gear doesn't mean much. Having said that, Klim needs to be competitive and shouldn't be in a hurry to peddle unproven stuff like those awful gloves.

I have the Valdez Jacket, Powerxross gloves, inferno base layer and free ride pants. Awesome gear and I'm always dry at the end of the day except for the gloves. My only beef with Klim is that they sent everything to be made in China. What happened to making this stuff in the good ol' USA? Is there even any sled gear made in the States or Canada anymore?:(

in the steep and deep you can beat it just look around what most people are using in the rockies

doesn't hurt that I have a Klim hookup so I don't have to pay retail :)

X2.:rolleyes::beer;

I will be buying the powerxross pullover, freeride pants, a new jersey, a new windbreaker, gear bag, some fleece, ext...ext...just about everything that i dont already have!:D

Ill be getting Klim, I got some free ride pants last year and loved them, so I think im gonna get the Power cross Pull over. Best gear EVER!!!:D:D:D:D:D

I'm also a Klim poster child but I'm looking elsewhere for future gear I think. I bought new Freeride pants last fall and the gaters started tearing out at the seams after a few rides. I've also had bad luck the gloves lasting. I really like the 100% waterproof part and how my gear breaths, but I'm less than impressed with the durability. Unfortanetely, I don't think anyone makes better gear so Klim it is.

after seeing my buddies toes on thier new SUPER klim boots, i'll pass, kick the snow a couple of times and the rubber coating starts to come off...
