whos compared attack 20 against Powerclaw?

mite want to install powerclaw onto
2 m8 s . used to have 2 m7s with stock track
pow position, the attack really jumped up on top
of the snow and just planed out floating
was great .how will the power claw compare to it in powder?

I rode alot of miles on A20 in the deep. also in pow position. Flat out thought it was the best track ever. I now have about 500 miles on powerclaw, it is way better all around. Not sure about in the deep, but its real close. Have not compared side by side, most sleds have challenger or pc.

The A20 in either direction is no match for the power claw in my opinion. I had a tough time keeping up with the XP's last season, but no more since installing the claw. I even ported it to help with the rolling resistance. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

another vote for the powerclaw....had it in 4ft of fresh fluff up in the snowies last weekend...i also ran the a20 and there is no comparison

the attack 20 still hooks up better in a drag race situation. as far as the deep goes.......we will find out tomorrow. the pc seems to get on top of the snow faster though.

I had an 06 M7 with the 162 A20.

Now have an 09 M8 162.

I didn't run my M7 in the powder position much because I felt that in packed conditions it was just unacceptable. I rode it in the hillclimb in a lot of deep powder last year and the Powerclaw is far superior. Works great. Hookup seems similar with maybe a slight edge to the powerclaw.

I am verry happy with it and definitely would put it on the M7 if I still had it.

I have rode my m7 with both the a-20 and the p-claw and there is no comparison on hard pack. The claw is way better and as far as deep powder performance it gets on top the snow like the a-20 but alot faster. Just my .02

I agree

How does the power claw stop (not on flats but steep downhills packed spring conditions) rode st. Helens today with a attack 20 in hill climb pos. With paddles straight... Fine going up but, i am going to the er in the morning.. That pos almost killed me... It was my first time on the hill with that track and i dont remember my old one having that problem.... My buddies had no problem going down(NOT USING THE ATTACK) but they just said its because i suck... Mybe i do but i will never run the attack again........

So don't shoot the messenger, and take it for what it is worth......

I went from a 162 x 15 x 2.25 CE to the power claw. Rode 2 times in the deep/bottomless and was not impressed. I Pulled it and went to the 162 x 16 x 2.5 CE and rode the next day. No comparison in the deep between the two. For me, the CE was way better. With the powerclaw, my sled just did could not get up on top of the snow like it did with the CE.

I'm sure there will be a lot of skeptics. I can tell you, I compared them on the same hills in the same snow and the CE kicked a$$ on the power claw (on my sled anyway). I would have had a very hard time switching given that I had all that money and time invested in the powerclaw. But I had already sold my old track to a buddy of mine (04 Escape) and my sled would always out do his in the deep stuff. With the power claw on my sled, and my old CE on his, he was kicking my butt.

Switched tracks, cost me a bunch more money and a lot of work (again) to swap. But I am so glad I did it.

Just my $.02. I am sure it is a great track, but it wasn't a good match for my king cat.

Cheers!
Chris

I've got the PC on an '09 M10, A20 on an Mod 800 Edge and the CE on another Edge, all 3 are 162's. In powder or any soft snow, the PC and A20 are excellent. Can't tell if one is better than the other in the soft stuff. The PC does go downhill better than the A20. In firm snow, the PC is much better than the A20 and I felt even had a better bite than the CE. However the PC doesn't go down hill as well as the CE.

Powder Riding:
1. PC
2. A20
3. CE

Firm Snow:
1. PC uphill / CE downhill
if you have an A20, pray for a storm and take the wife shopping.

On a side note, I keep all my tracks very loose. I can pick up the front end of the sleds with the PC and the A20 and pull them across the shop floor without the motor running. I can't move the sled with the CE unless the motor is running. CE is tougher to turn.
