One week left to get advance price tickets online - tickets will be $2 more at the door. This will be a great way to bring in the season and get you in the mood for the Snow Show and then the REAL SNOW SHOW that is starting to pile up in the mountains. There will be showings at 6:30 and 8:30 this year, with a great new movie, free snacks, a raffle for great donated gear, and lots of friends. All proceeds will go to the Utah Avalanche Center to pay for avalanche forecasting and education for motorized users. This is the biggest fundraising event of the year for avalanche forecasting in Utah for the motorized community and we need to go big. Bring your friends. You can get advance tickets here.

So stupid question, maybe.... Will the raffle be after the 8:30 show only or will there be a raffle for the 6:30 show too? Either way I'll be there.

There will be plenty of raffle prizes for both shows. The 630 show will have a Klim f4 ece raffled off as the big prize and the 830 show will have a stealth jacket raffled off as the big prize.

We moved to a 2 show format because there has been limited standing room only for the last couple years with 1 show. We wanted to make space so that everyone could come in and sit down and relax and not have to stand against the wall down in front. We understand there will probably be some people that overlap shows and hang around and that is fine. We just want to make sure everyone has equal opportunities to health care... wait wrong thread? hahaha come on out to either showing we will have tons of prizes for you at both!

You all are awesome for your support of Utah Avalanche Center.

The 830 showing was just as packed as the 630 showing! Standing room only at both shows!

We would also like to thank all the generous companies that donated prizes and to the raffles. Couldn't have pulled this off without their support!

Thanks to all who came out last night - your support is huge and we couldn't keep all the advisories, weather station info, and education events going without your help. What an awesome community! Big shout outs to Boondockers, USA, and SnowBigDeal for their support, covering our backs so we can cover yours.

Now onto the show and then A Bar Named Sue for the followup party.

The Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop on Nov 2 will also be a great event - there is a lot to learn about staying alive in the avalanche terrain and we expect to have about 700 experts from around the US and Canada on hand to talk about how to stay on top. It seems like spending $26 and a Saturday afternoon learning when to go big and when to dial it back is a great way to follow up looking at shiny things in S Jordan...

Hope to see a bunch of you in Ogden for 509 on Nov 12. Should be another great event. Then SNOW!
