I was wondering who makes a under seat exhaust(tunnel dump) for the apex like the one TJ used to offer?

or is it easier just to make one using some sport bike shorty pipe? if this is the case what works the best?

tj's still makes them, under a new shop name. lincoln county customs. (307)654-6637

grapeape has one and it is a great sounding pipe.

i also have an LCC under tunnel pipe on my nytro. nice sound good quality piece.

do some research on it as well, I have a tj's I bought last year and I about pulled my hair out trying to get it to work and not bog really bad in deep pow conditions. the exhaust gases cannot escape fast enough with a track throwing snow at it. I ended up having a "Y" pipe fabbed up and turned out the sides of the tunnel as far back as I could get them, works great now and sounds killer. just cost another 200 bucks , and another 360 for hood vents because they don't tell you that you need those either to help more air get in on the intake side as well.

i had the same problem i thought! turns out to be starving the motor for air with all the snow covering the vents. put a snorkel setup on it and solved the problem completely! imo the exhaust moves so much air that the snow has no way of clogging the exhaust. these motors like lots of air!!!

a snorkel set up for the intake? or?

also what have you done with your intake besides turbo? has anyone used the hauck airbox cover? let me know

I have a Apex with a TJ's pipe and a Stage 1 supercharger. Have had problems with the bog in deep snow but thought that it was because of a lack of air or th amount ot powder covering the hood vents and inercoller. Could the problem be the Pipe? never put the two together.:beer;

added this snorkel to the supercharger setup and didnt change the under tunnel exhaust at all and problem solved! had to add some to the primary weights to keep off the rev limiter after the intake was brought out into the fresh air. muuuch crisper and zero bog issues. only problem was cutting the hole in the hood but have seen someone routing the intake up behind the windshield but still have to cut a hole somewhere! have more pics of what i did if interested! when the snorkel gets covered with snow a quick burp on the throttle clears the snow and off ya go!!!! cheap easy fix.

I vented the chit out of the front of my sled with a full set of vents on top and on the sides. it was only a bandaid for the real problem. it would still bog and yes if you wipe off the hood it does help but who wants to try and do that when your trying too ride. once i rerouted the exhaust so it would escape well the problem was completely solved,. love it now ps my sled is not turboed or supercharged, so that may make some difference. I put some pics up in a minute.

where did you get that venting kit baapex?

2 cool air vents makes them. also r & m lighting products makes them. the ones on my sled I made myself , they are alot like 2 cool's which I like better, they even have a really sweet huge hood vent for the turbo/supercharged guys. you should look them up on the web.
