Ya, just thought I'd pose the last minute question b4 heading to the Snow Show tomorrow...

Who makes the best Probe? Overall package, looking for the best quality, I only want to have to buy one once

I started with the ortovox 240 light, but after I took an avalanche class I purchased a SR3 Probe from BCA. It is a lot longer and has a quick tensioning system. Now I keep the BCA on my backpack and the ortovox on my sled, just in case something happens and someone doesn't have one.

black diamond quick draw, takes about half a second to open, it works good, just realized, it aint very tall,... a tad over 1.5 meters, i need a bigger one!!
