J John ACCOUNT CLOSED Dec 9, 2008 #2 Collett is what we use. We like them but you need to be pretty close. Pretty much line of sight in hilly areas. http://www.collettcommunicators.com/ Do a search on here and read up on them. They aren't the only game in town.

E Ex-Member ACCOUNT CLOSED Dec 9, 2008 #3 I have a speaker/mic on the shoulder strap of my pack. Real easy to get to, radio can sit on the pack (or even inside). Can still hear the radio and the audio through isn't too bad. A lot of FRS radios have the attachment for them. Just a thought.
