who makes a decent steering post for a polaris GenII

I'm in need of a stronger steering post. I can find ones from slp but they only make them for a 02 or newer not a 2001.

If someone could give me a link to a website that made one that would be awesome.

cheers:beer;

my brother got one from wildchild and its more than held up....great product and ya cant go wrong at his price

I think mines snow stuff. its been on there for most of 10 years and is good to go still. Got mine at Gaudins.

Yep, wildchild here too.

I installed one on my sled two seasons ago and it performs perfectly. Kurt is great to deal with. He hooked me up with a post that had a 't' top and bent the post ahead to give it a little more of a rider forward feel. Much better than stock IMO.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy something from him again. :beer;

I have enough billet parts to make 9 more posts, after that probally be no more posts because demand is slowing down.

Whoa. Well if I thought I needed a backup I'd have you make me a spare. But yer posts are good enough that I can't say I need one. But we're all just one dumbazz move away from needing a new chassis. Lol

Yep, have even done the dumbazz move 2 or 3 time but the wildchild post still holds up. just about the only thing i have not replaced........yet?:confused:

Not knocking Wildchild's posts, but Ace Hardware makes a decent one too. After bending/finally breaking the first oem post, I bought another. Bent that one, straightened it, epoxied in a piece of 1/2" (i think) round stock in the post. That lasted several more years 'til I sold the sled.

If you need a steering post, and you know about Wildchild, and yet buy something different, then you are as dumb as a (steering) post.
